About Us
Nitro Trailers was founded in 2013 by owner Chad Dow. He began his learning at a young age, working in the garage and on many race cars at local stock car tracks, learning the ins and outs of fabricating, welding, fit, and finish. As his skills grew throughout his high school career he took a job at a local manufacturing company and began his welding career on aluminum trailers.
Throughout the 7 years there, he started at the bottom of the ladder and rapidly worked his way to the custom fabricator position, 1 of 2 top positions in a 140 employee environment. After achieving multiple perfect attendance awards and in 2008 the MVP award, the company closed the doors in 2009. Deciding which way to go from there was an easy decision. With the passion for perfection and enthusiasm to work, Chad then formed his own business as Innovative Specialties, focusing on custom aluminum fabrication work, much of which was for other trailers.
After a few years of running his own business, and with the encouragement of dealers, friends, family and customers, he decided it was time to expand the business and build trailers once again. Naming it Nitro Trailers, and starting with him and just one other employee out of a small 3 bay garage, they focused on quality and offered the most recognized options a customer may want in their trailer.
